Bonaire's official nickname is Diver's Paradise, but we as bona fide foodies believe it could also be known as a Diner's Paradise. Not even three decades ago, Bonaire was a sleepy little island where the few cars available were usually used to ferry oil workers and fishermen to their jobs. Today it enjoys a prosperous, modern economy, but thankfully hasn't lost any of its tranquillity or charm. The island still has no traffic lights and two main roads essentially connect the western and eastern tips of the small landmass with one another. Whether it's incredible diving you're after or a refined seafood supper with a beautiful sunset, this Caribbean gem has it covered.
