The Beach Hut

One of the better cheap places to have lunch is remarkably located at one of the island's most scenic spots, Sorobon Beach. After some East Coast diving, the Beach Hut is a safe destination for fish above sea level. Owner Maarten doesn’t focus on tourists or expats as most of his visitors are locals who appreciate his affordable seafood dishes like his simple, yet tasty fish and chips that are seasoned just right. The daily specials, which include a soup, are great value for money and an affordable main course can be had for as little as $10. Relaxing here on the white powdery sand is easy, especially given its jaw-dropping views of the bay filled with knee-deep turquoise water. The bar has also begun serving cocktails mixed by expert barkeep Bart.
