Only a bit north of Kralendijk at the Sand Dollar shopping area, this small restaurant serves tasty, yet cheap homemade Indonesian and Surinamese specialities like classic pom (chicken and vegetable casserole), salted meat and our favourite, the steamed chicken with vegetables. If you're not that hungry, try the delicious saoto, a filling bowl of spicy Javan chicken soup. The colourful interior includes green, orange, blue and purple seats and locals often travel from near and far to eat one of its 16 flavours of ice cream on offer with weird names like Superman and Rainbow. Strong Belgian brews in three refrigerators are also a tempting proposition on a typically balmy Bonaire day.
