This desert is one of the few to be found in Europe. Pobiti Kamani is located on the north-western border of Varna Province.The formations consist mainly of stone columns between 5 and 7 metres high. The sand dunes and the natural rock formations are located on a total area of 13 km². Pobiti Kamuni was designated a natural landmark in the late 1930s.
