If you have long term residence status in Bulgaria you will need to exchange your national licence for a Bulgarian one. For EU countries this is a straightforward process that can be done here.For other nationals, a test resit may be required. Other services here include exchanging license plates for local ones or acquiring plates for a new car. In the event of road traffic violations you may also be summoned here to view video evidence of your speeding offence. Best take a Bulgarian speaker with you if you can. Most people that work here are not employed to make life easy for you ;-).
