Staria Chinar (the Old Sycamore) occupies a beautiful house in the Old Centre of Sofia, dating back to 1922. Specialities include fabulous game and meat dishes prepared in a wood-burning oven and barbecue, such as St. George's lamb, pork knuckle, veal and beef specialities - from head to tail cuts. Traditional Bulgarian appetisers also have a special place here: stuffed bell peppers, aubergine puree and home-made lyutenitsa among others.
Each week the menu includes fresh seasonal products and fresh fish.
A spacious garden invites guests to escape the hustle and bustle and admire the archaeological finds and artefacts that are on display.
