I have been to Bulgaria six times and I have eaten at a lot places. Taj Mahal is not only my favorite indian restaurant in Sofia-it's one of the best indian style curry I have had. The food is very nice and the environment is really nice. The staff are always really helpful and knowledgeable about the food and give really helpful suggestions. On the way out the chief of the restaurant took the time to ask us how everything was. There are lot of really great restaurants in Sofia and this is definitely one that I would recommend.

Well, I am surprised at Venkatesh.The restaurant serves terrible 'British' style curries. Those who have travelled to India know just how good 'real' Indian food is.My guess is he's an employee or friend.Avoid. There's real Bulgarian food available at half the cost and twice the size.

I am an Indian currently visiting Sofia. The food is very tasty and authentic. I would certainly recommend this restaurant to any one. Value for money !!!
