Central Railway Station

The railway network in Bulgaria is fairly extensive and it is well worth taking a train to enjoy the picturesque countryside as you chug along. Tickets are inexpensive, even in a first class carriage, however, there is not always a restaurant on board, so make sure to bring something to eat and drink with you!

Burgas train lines are well connected to the rest of the country - although to some destinations, you might have to change trains. A trip from the capital Sofia takes approximately 6 - 7 hours. Trains run frequently and on time (!), also during the night.
The Burgas train station is in the city centre, just next to Coach Station South and the Maritime Station. There is a taxi rank and bus stops nearby. There are left luggage, toilet and refreshment facilities here.

The station building in Art Nouveau style was designed by the same architects, who built the station in Varna at the beginning of the 20th century.
