Curacao Ostrich Farm

Although the ostrich is native to Africa, you can also find them in the Dutch Caribbean on Aruba and Curacao. You can take tour of the premises of this eco-conscious wildlife farm and even taste some of the delicious 'poultry' afterwards. We especially appreciated that the farm is completely sustainable and the pigs and alligators ensure that nothing goes to waste. The hourly tours taken in jeeps provide lots of interesting and educational facts about the mating and egg-laying habits of ostriches and tourists can stand on a real ostrich egg (if you don’t weigh more than 200 kg), feed the giant birds and – if you've got good medical insurance – even ride one. The souvenir shop sells masks, wooden sculptures and other African gifts. The park is also home to other unusual birds, namely peacocks and emus.

Very cool! Cost is $17 per adult for the safari jeep tour which was very informative.
