​If you’re looking for an authentic local's night out, Cafe De Windt is probably your best bet in Otrabanda. If, however, fine dining and stylish surroundings are more to your taste, then steer clear of the top end of notorious Breedstraat. In an area where strolling prostitutes are the norm, De Windt is an attractive watering hole for anyone lacking a little spice in their life. Two tough ladies run this down-to-earth establishment and one was so quick with a knife that we thought we were about to become the main course. Luckily, she was only slashing at chunks of deliciously smelling grilled meat. If dirt cheap meals aren't what you're after, then take a seat at the bar or one of the plastic chairs in the courtyard and treat yourself to an ice-cold beer.
