At first glance the area surrounding the Wave looks like a dodgy neighbourhood, but the heart of Otrabanda is also one of Willemstad's most colourful districts. Wave is a decent option for travellers with an adventurous attitude who are looking for good value for money in downtown Willemstad. Safety is still an issue, although all guests are given key cards to access both hallways and rooms. The 25 modern rooms vary greatly in size, but all offer standard amenities. Not the cheapest choice around and staff could be a bit more friendlyer. Better look for another place around.
