All buses are run by ABC and if you want to stop, just yank the chord and the driver will pull over at the next stop. Larger buses operate 21 different urban routes, nine from Otrobanda and 12 from Punda. Most of the island's attractions like beaches, shopping centres and parks are covered by these so-called Konvooi. In addition to the big buses, another 300 small private buses also cruise the island on certain routes. but bear in mind that prices increase between 20:00 - 05:00. Just look for the word BUS on their number plates. For a slightly higher price, these buses will even deviate from the usual route and drop you off at a specific address. To make things even more confusing, they also stop at all official bus stops, but you can also stop them by simply raising your hand. Prices vary from 2 - 4 Nafl. To make things simple, buses from Otrabanda head only to the Western parts of the island, while buses from Punda can be entered for a destination on the Eastern part of Curacao.
