Lajos Kossuth Statue

Kossuth tér 1     more than a year ago
Few names from Hungarian history resonate as deeply as Lajos Kossuth. The man from Monok was the leader of the Hungarian Revolution of 1848, the desperate bid of the Hungarians for independence from Austria. Kossuth is honoured with statues all around the country, and it is no great surprise to find one such memorial in his square in Debrecen.
