Considering the local importance of the Great Forest, it is easy to assume that Debrecen is a fine city for all things leisure. This is an active town and then some, with top quality swimming, walking, cycling and much more easily accessible. The Great Forest is indeed king in this regard, but there is plenty more to activity in Debrecen than the wonders of Nagyerdei.
