This splendid mid century palace was built for Niccolò Grimaldi and is another of the Rolli group. It has been used as the town hall since 1848 but you can visit inside with your combined Via Garibaldi museums ticket. Unfortunately the rooftop garden of Palazzo Bianco, which usually connects the two buildings is temporarily closed due to maintenance work. The museum now hosts a permanent collection of tapestries, local ceramics and coins, as well as a room dedicated to the Genoese born violinist and composer Niccolò Paganini. One of the highlights is a l marble statue by Antonio Canova of the ‘Penitent Magdalene.’ The ticket also includes entry into Palazzo Bianco and Palazzo Rosso.
