Promenade (Passeggiata Anita Garibaldi)

more than a year ago
What better way to chill, in real italiano style, than to go for a stroll along the promenade… 2km of stunning scenery from the old harbor (porticciolo) to Capolungo at the other end of the village. The path snakes its way around the rocky coast offering incredible sea views at every turn. It can get crowded at times (avoid weekend afternoons when the world and his dog will also be strolling!) but you never lose that invigorating sensation of being immersed in nature: the palms, the pines, the flowers, the crash of the waves on the rocks below you, the gentle breeze and the buzz of cicadas humming...Perfect. It’s particularly pretty as the sun is fading or early in the morning. It’s also a people watching paradise with lots of eating, sipping, munching and resting opportunities too. Great for the kids, near to the park, the station, the museums. A must!
