Alice's Masks Sudio

On Via Faenza, a few steps from the Firenze SMN station, you can find a place like no other. This shop and artists' studio run by Sardinian maestro and sculptor Agostino Dessi specializes in traditional Sardinian wooden masks, portrait masks, Venetian masks, and Dessi's own creations; crafted from a variety of materials and decorated with elements ranging from decorative fabric to lace and flowers, these pieces are artworks in their own right. The atelier is co-run by his daughter Alice who organizes mask-making workshops in the last week of every month.
