In the 1980s, a group of film buffs was dissatisfied with the mainstream selection in movie theaters, so they decided to establish a cultural center. Thus, the Cinema Arsenale was born. They currently screen an average of 220 films a year, as well as organizing thematic evenings, talks and cultural events.
