Al Settimo Cielo

Look to the hills north of Trieste and you’re sure to see the spaceship-like triangular structure known as the Temple of Montegrisa. Whilst the sanctuary on the hill is a popular destination for pilgrims and architecture nerds, it is also an unlikely culinary and shopping destination. Located at the Temple is the excellent al Settimo Cielo restaurant, as well as a fair trade café and Barcobaleno, a well-stocked fair trade shop. Barcobaleno’s shelves are packed with ethical and tasty food products from near and far, which you can also taste at the neighbouring café and restaurant.
