Much like Ljubljana’s ‘Open Kitchen’ event, Cool Friday is Kamnik’s own version. Every Friday through the whole of July and August food and drink stalls take over the town. Local eateries set up and keep the public happy serving selections of their favourite foods and drinks. There’s live music too and each week presents something different. You might tap your foot some rock and roll one week, then skip around to some traditional tunes the next. Your preference of music is doesn’t really matter, what’s important is that everybody is enjoying themselves. Locals love this event and are proud to welcome visitors along to enjoy it too.
