The Kamfest festival was first organised in 2004, and is one of the biggest festivals in the Municipality of Kamnik today. The Festival takes place in August and is an important cultural and social meeting point. Each year, the Festival tries to find hidden, overlooked parts of the city, and make them livelier with a varied programme. This attracts more than 30,000 visitors to Kamnik who can witness the unique collaboration between the Festival and different local performers. The festival offers a mix of music, cultural and other similar events which have an important cultural, tourism, urban and educational function in the city. Kamfest takes place in different locations in Kamnik (Mali grad Castle, Šutna, the Zaprice Castle and the Keršmanec Park.
