International Slavery Museum

Royal Albert Dock, Liverpool Waterfront      +44 151 478 4499     more than a year ago
One of the best museums in the entire country, without a doubt. The subject matter is heavy to say the least, but few museums tackle historically sensitive subjects with as much candour as the International Slavery Museum in Liverpool. Opened in 2007, this museum on the Albert Dock pulls no punches in detailing the history of the Transatlantic slave trade, as well as pulling back the curtain on the continued criminal trade. If you only visit one museum in Liverpool, make it this one.
