Museo Bagatti Valsecchi

  Via Gesù 5      (+39) 02 76 00 61 32     more than a year ago
United by a shared passion for Italian Renaissance art, brothers Fausto and Giuseppe Bagatti Valsecchi spent the second half of the 19th century lovingly restoring and decorating their family home to resemble the aristocratic mansions of Lombardy in the 15th and 16th centuries. Left untouched thanks to the family’s preservation efforts, each piece in the house museum’s collection resides in its original place allowing the visitor to literally step back in time upon crossing the threshold. Tucked into the Montenapoleone fashion district, the Bagatti Valsecchi museum is a testament to Milan’s noble heritage and its denizens appreciation of the arts.
