A literary landmark, independent bookseller Rizzoli Galleria has stood the test of time, defying economic downturns and even the world’s transition to digital. Indeed, such challenges appear to have made this bookstore even more resilient and determined to beat the odds. Rizzoli Galleria recently underwent a four-month restoration project and its New York branch opens its brand new store this July on Broadway. Milan’s location scales three floors and aims to please readers and page-turners of all genres. Shelves abound with books on fashion, interior design, art, architecture, photography, design, travel, cooking and literature - both old and new - and there is an entire floor dedicated to young readers. Tourists will appreciate the ample selection of foreign language books and newspapers and magazines from around the world.
