Amsterdam has lots of houseboats floating in the city’s canals and, fortunately for those who prefer living on the water, some of them are also available to the public. With the green Vliegenbos on one side of the houseboat and a wide canal on the other, the location of this B&B is great, especially if you'd like to stay in a quiet area that's still only a 15-minute bike ride from the city centre. The friendly family who permanently inhabits the vessel rents three rooms. The studio is the largest, but the other two rooms aren't for claustrophobics. That said, the lovely terrace on the roof offers plenty of fresh air and a gorgeous view.
