The balcony of the Balcony Bar offers a view of Schiphol’s busy departure lounges and it's in fact one of the few cafés available near the check-in counters. It's a decent enough place to have a cup of coffee before saying goodbye to a loved one and you can also get sandwiches and a few simple meals here. That said, a good cup of Joe and the balcony are its main attractions. Balcony Bar is located on the second floor right above Departure Lounge 1.
