For centuries justice was administered in this building and there's actually still a lot of chatting going on at The Desk, but now by huge crowds who come here for lunch or dinner. Unfortunately, after several visits we have to conclude that it owes its popularity more to its central location than to any culinary prowess it might hope to have, as the menu is limited and the staff are simpy miserable. However, the delicious pea soup with mint and prawns is a glaring exception.
