You'll find heaps of fun at Ecomare as well as plenty of interesting facts about the nearby Waddensea and North Sea. This giant complex has enough entertainment to keep you satisfied for the better part of a day, so plan on spending at least a few hours here. Children love the feeding times when the seals and porpoises are spoiled with a hearty meal twice every day. The museum also has an abundance of games, films and stories about Texel and its surroundings, not to mention the sanctuary for young and ill seals, which is a guaranteed tearjerker. Baby seals can also be 'adopted' with financial contributions.
