With no less than 2500 houseboats anchored on the waters in and around Amsterdam it comes as no surprise that many of these vessels have become floating B&Bs. Staying on a houseboat is a cool experience and the Minties Floating B&B is among the better ones to try. The two bedroom houseboat can be found in a quiet area next to a cemetery and it offers a pleasant view of the De Bloem windmill. Rooms are bright, neatly furnished and spotlessly clean. There is a small terrace next to the water and a sauna is at your disposal. Free bicycles are also available and you can rent a motorboat to explore the city’s network of canals. The large breakfast is yet another bonus.
