Don’t let the outdated interior deceive you. The shabby exterior, the furniture and other ‘decorations’ in this large restaurant may have been fashionable back in Chairman Mao's day, but the owners obviously haven't visited modern China in quite some time. That said, the chef is certainly on his game. This Caribbean-Chinese Jamie Oliver makes every rice dish, soup or fish course unforgettable especially the 1000 year egg and the yang chow fried rice. But don't take our word for it. Just ask any of the local Chinese inhabitants of the island who dine here frequently.
