Of the three golf courses on Aruba, this is by far the most picturesque. Located on the island's northwest tip, Tierra del Sol is Aruba's only championship golf course. The 18-hole, par 71 course was designed in 1995 to take full advantage of its rugged natural surroundings. The course manages to pair peerless course design with a celebration of Aruba's wildlife, or so they claim. Unfortunately, the construction of an ugly communications tower has marred the otherwise beautiful view of Aruba's 'skyline'. If you didn't bring your own clubs, shoes or proper clothing, the pro shop has a wide range of popular brands and is open daily from 06:30 - 19:00. Halfway across the lush greens lies the Lookout Bar and Grill in case you need a break or a snack.
