Given the world's addiction to sushi, it's perhaps not so strange that Curacao has its fair share of raw fish restaurants and one of our favourites is located at the far corner of the Rif Fort. Since 2009, Ema-Tei has been catering to Japanese food aficionados on Curacao in these historic surroundings with a wide range of classic dishes like fried ice cream, crab croquettes and squid salad. Less adventurous souls can stick to the usual sushi, tempura meals and yakitori. The authentic, cosy interior is reason enough to visit to this highly recommended restaurant.
