While neighbouring St. Maarten has its fare share of McDonald's, Burger King and KFC, the tiny islands of Saba and Statia are still free of these multinational American fast food chains, but that doesn’t mean that the locals don’t appreciate a greasy, calorie-laden meal. St. Eustatius has Super Burger, its own version of fast food, that is hardly healthy, but served at the usual island pace (not fast). Order a homemade burger, milkshake or ice cream at this typically laid-back Caribbean joint and wash it down with a local beer like Carib. The rotisserie chicken is too die for and it's also one of the few places open for a local style breakfast with delicious Johnny cakes. On Fridays and Saturdays the large verandah is transformed into a giant, yet mercifully breezy dance floor.
