Theatres Tilburg

Voted one of the most beautiful buildings in the Netherlands by a group of four leading Dutch architects in 2009, this theatre is literally ‘a brick ode to the sixties’. The edifice perfectly fits its surroundings and still has a modern look despite its age. Naturally a lot of rebuilding and renovating has taken place throughout the years, but much of the decor is still from the 1960s, such as the benches that were designed by the architect Bijvoet. Even the chairs inside the theatre are originals.
