Grand Cafe Courant

From the outside no one would suspect that one of the longest pubs in Utrecht is hidden behind the front door of Courant. The architect has done a great job improving the appearance of this long, narrow room by turning it into three separate spaces. The first part offers a stylish bar and stools, making it an ideal place to recover from a hard day. If you’re by yourself, the wall with its hundreds of newspaper clippings provides endless distractions and the opportunity to improve your local knowledge. In the back you have a choice of two seating areas where you can enjoy specialities of the house including beef tournedos and burgers with plenty of toppings. At the weekend Courant is transformed into one of Utrecht's trendiest hotspots with DJs and a mojito-drinking crowd.
