In this pub, just outside the city centre, Irish pride seems to be more alive than in similar bars in the city. Irish sports scarves hang from the ceiling and on the wall you’ll find paper clippings about a massive victory by the Irish rugby team over their English arch enemies. And there is no escaping the Kilkenny and Guinness ads which cover any free space. This improves the atmosphere, as does the hearty pub food, the dartboard and the wide screen TV for sporting events that aren't broadcast on Dutch television. The public is varied including locals, but also quite a few English-speaking tourists and students.
