The old Pandhof (courtyard) of St. Mary is the remnant of an 11th-century covered hallway, which led from the Mariakerk (St. Mary’s Church) to the canon’s meeting hall. An herb garden was planted in the middle of the monastery garden and you’ll find plants here with appropriate names for their surroundings like Judaspenning (satinflower) and Jesusgras (Redshank). It also has the largest collection of Maria plants in the Netherlands.
