Tivoli De Helling

Since 2003 pop stage Tivoli has ruled this annex where alternative concerts and dancing nights take place featuring dancehall, hip-hop, electro, gothic and other music genres. The acoustics of the hall (with space for 450 visitors) are a lot better than those of its big brother in the city centre, because it was built specifically for playing loud music with less echo and stronger bass. Thankfully you'll find plenty of tables and chairs in the large lobby, where you can take a decibel break. The big downside is its location next to a car dealership in a quiet industrial area, a 15 minute walk from the centre. There are no other places to go out in the area. A police station is located right across the street, so don’t get into a row with nearby bicycles or urinate in public when you stumble outside!
