Hotel Parkzicht is located a mere 15-minute walk south of Eindhoven's city centre. This monumental building dating back to the 1930s occupies prime real estate in one of the city's posher residential neighbourhoods. If you manage to get a room facing the street you'll be rewarded with a great view of the picturesque Stadswandelpark. The rooms are great value if you’re just looking for a quiet night with all of the usual amenities at your disposal. The personal attention by the staff, the free wi-fi, the sunny terrace and the free parking easily make up for the fact that its bathrooms are tiny and its breakfast is overpriced. Unfortunately, due to its protected status, the owners were unable to add a lift, so be prepared to do some walking in this three-star hotel. Bikes can also be rented to explore the old town or the park.
