Right in the heart of one of the longest and busiest nightlife streets in the Netherlands, Stratumseind, you'll find the Oude Rechtbank (Old Courthouse). Until 1877, justice was the main concern here only to be replaced by tax collection and a small prison in the courtyard is a visual reminder of those bygone days. Today, it's a busy meeting place with separate areas for culture and eating and drinking making it one of the more entertaining hotspots in town.
