If you enjoy dining outside and prefer verdant surroundings to the urban jungle, then Stadspaviljoen is an excellent choice. Located at the edge of the Stadswandelpark, this historic building is home to three separate, shady terraces. The extensive menu offers something for all budgets and tastes and although locals rave about the old school dishes like the Chateaubriand and the sole, we loved the giant servings of spicy Cajun chips and calamari. Sundays appear to be family days when loads of children take temporary control of the area, if only for a few hours.
