Tuchthuis tries hard to attract a more mature crowd at the legendary location of former Eindhoven nightlife staples the Blue Parrot and Bar East. Techno parties and some relaxing deep house evenings are the main attractions of this popular bar which is located smack in the middle of Stratumseind, Eindhoven's bar hopping Mecca. Tuchthuis means House of Correction, but luckily you’re free to decide if you want to drop by for one of its many beers or for some of its cheap pub food. The interior is the brainchild of young local designers, but if you're looking for something to go with the prison theme check out the toilets, which still have bars.
