This is the place to go for a swim in Groningen. On sunny days most locals head out to the De Papiermolen, which is about 15 minutes bicycle ride from the city centre. Here you'll find everything you'd find by the sea: loud teenagers, beer-chugging construction workers and flirtatious students on the prowl. This giant outdoor swimming pool (heated all year round) has a large grassy patches complete with a café, showers and bathrooms.
