If you're wondering where the unusual name De Toeter came from, just lift your head up high and look at the ceiling of this 'browner than brown' bar. The roof is littered with wind instruments, which in Dutch are often referred to as 'toeters'. But the main attraction here is the unbelievable selection of beers and whiskeys. With 17 beers on draught and another 120 in bottles, this is a real beer café. De Toeter even has its own brew: Toeterblond. The photogenic shelves behind the bar are filled with an even more astonishing collection of alcoholic beverages. With a giant outdoor terrace and a great variety of tapas on the menu not to mention a private mooring station for boats, we can't think of one reason to head home.
