The Netherlands and Germany aren't - to put it mildly - best of friends, especially where sporting events are concerned. Despite all of this, the German owned bar Der Witz (The Joke) has been a cherished part of the Groningen nightlife scene since 1981. This small bar always has 10 beers on draught and dozens more available in bottles, making it one of the better beer bars in town. The walls are decorated with hundreds of photos documenting the history of Holland's large Teutonic neighbour, but the owner has wisely left out any mention of the two World Wars or any World Cups. We would, however, like to know if the framed sheet music signed by composer Johannes Brahms is real or a fake.
