In the heart of the northern suburb of Oosterpark lies this hidden gem, which is one of the cheapest lunchrooms in the city. The homemade speciality is without a doubt the tasty Grunneger mosterdsoep (mustard soup), although the vegetarian cannelloni with spinach and ricotta cheese is also quite good. The sunny terrace is another reason to drop by as are the friendly waiters who make you feel at home as soon as you arrive. You can also order one of the three daily specials (meat, veggie and fish) from the blackboards on the wall four days a week. Even if you're not hungry, this place deserves a visit if only for its collection of historic black and white photographs.
