The Zwadde, a 100-tonne iron one-master, was built in 1897 and served as a cargo ship until the early 1970s, first under sail, later powered by diesel. Now again a sailing ship used for leisure trips, it spends the summers sailing the IJsselmeer lake and Waddenzee sea. From October to March it's moored in central Groningen and used as a hotel; the small but comfy cabins share two showers and toilets. Breakfast is included.
