Brownies & Downies

As the name suggests, the staff in these historical premises are not the usual pimply faced teenagers, but employees with Down Syndrome. By now this concept is so successful that nine similar businesses have been established throughout the province of Noord-Brabant. The menu may be simple (a laminated A4 sheet of paper), but the dishes certainly are not. The tasty sandwiches are filled generously and garnished with fresh salads, but the excessive dressing may not be to everyone's liking. This restaurant on two floors is also worth a visit for its architecture, but large people may have some trouble using the tiny lavatories.
