Saba remained uninhabited untill Dutch settlers arrived in 1640. In the next two centuries it would change hands twelve (!) times between the English, Spanish and Dutch. All leaving their marks on the island. Best visible is that with the wide variety of churches on Saba, varying from Anglican to catholic. There is also a small congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
