If you're on a budget, this is the place for you. With only six rooms on offer, The Country Inn is a modest, but attractive set of small suites. Only a short walk from the airport (leave the terminal, turn left and at the second intersection turn right), the hotel's comfortably equipped rooms include TV, iron, bathroom with hot water, fridge, a table and two chairs and proper, functioning wi-fi. In short, it's nothing fancy, but sufficient and also blessed with AC. The double mattresses are among the best on Statia, but that probably says more about the lack of competition on this tiny island. Breakfast is available for $10, but bring some earplugs unless you appreciate the early morning caterwauling of the livestock that roams the island.
